Court reserves order in Ramanayake’s case

Additional Colombo Magistrate Tanuja Jayatunge reserved her order as to the court that would hear the case of Member of Parliament and film actor Ranjan Ramanayake on an application made by Defence Counsel appearing for the case.

When the case was taken up for trial, Defence Counsel made submissions regarding the hearing of the case. On these submissions, the Additional Magistrate postponed the case for an order to be made by her.

Member of Parliament and Actor, Ranjan Ramanayake has been accused obtaining one hundred thousand rupees, on the promise of marriage to a Teacher of a College in Katugastota, Namal Wijeratne. (L. B .Senaratne)
