Complaint against SB’s brother

The Hanguranketha Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman has complained to the Hanguranketha police that Minister S.B Dissanayake’s brother Saliya Dissanayake had attempted to stab and assault him and another person today.

Police spokesman Ajith Rohana said the Central Provincial Council Chairman had allegedly entered the Pradeshiya Sabha meeting today to assault the two politicians.

Last week two buses worth around Rs.8.4 million belonging to Dissanayake were set on fire by an unidentified group at his Madanwala residence in Haguranketha.

He pointed the finger at several politicians in the area including the Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman for being behind the incident. (Supun Dias)
