Another stock of substandard fuel

A ship, which anchored at the Colombo harbour, with 40,000 metric tonnes of substandard diesel was rejected by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, official sources said.

The substandard stock of diesel was imported from Abu Dhabi. “We decided to reject the stock after the samples checked at the Sapugaskanda laboratory were found to be of low quality,” an official said.
