Action against Dr. White? - JVP

The JVP today questioned the silent approach of the Sri Lanka Medical Council with regard to the charges against Dr. Eliyantha White who is alleged to have prescribed drugs with illegal substances to sports personnel including Sri Lankan Cricketer Upul Tharanga.

JVP Propaganda Secretary Vijitha Herath told a news conference that the silence of the medical council and the GMOA is questionable as they have been actively campaigning against quakes in the recent past.

He said it is hard to believe some sports doctors had said Sri Lanka Cricket should continuously obtain the services of Dr. White.

“Action should be taken against Dr. White who had caused an embarrassment to Sri Lankan sportsmen,” JVP Propaganda Secretary Vijitha Herath added. (YP)
