Ven Narampanawe Ananda Thero appointed Chancellor of Kelaniya University

Colombo, July 02 (Daily Mirror) - The Deputy Chief Prelate of the Asgiriya Chapter, Most Venerable Narampanawe Ananda Thero, has been officially appointed as the new Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya.

The appointment was made by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, with the tenure taking effect from today (July 2).

The formal letter of appointment was handed over to the Most Venerable Thero by the Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, during a meeting held at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon.
