Upcountry train services limited to Peradeniya until further notice

Colombo, June 11 (Daily Mirror) - Train services on the Upcountry Line have been limited to Peradeniya Railway Station until further notice due to the sudden appearance of a sinkhole between Peradeniya and Kandy, the Railways Department said.

They added that the parcel transport service on both the Kandy and Matale lines has also been suspended until further notice.

Train operations along the Upcountry Railway Line were disrupted this morning following the incident. Commuters have been provided with buses as alternative transport facilities to reach Kandy.
