Uncertainty and challenges on the cards: Ruwan

Colombo, November 07 (Daily Mirror)- Uncertainty looms as Sri Lanka is to face unforeseen challenges as a group which tried to capture Parliament by force has entered the race to gain control of it, UNP General Secretary and Democratic Front candidate Ruwan Wijewardene said yesterday.

Speaking during a meeting in Delgoda, Mr. Wijewardene said those who are not aware of Parliamentary tradition and culture are contesting the General Election this year plunging the nation into uncertainty.

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe will not be able to stay silent for long as people of this country need him in the future given the uncertain situation.

"An experienced team has to get into the House to face the challenges in the future," he added.
