Two shot dead in Hanwella

A businessman and another were shot dead by two unidentified gunmen at Pahathgama in Hanwella last night, the police said.

The gunmen who arrived on a motorcycle had opened fired at the victims while they were inside a house at around 10 p.m, the police said.

The victims had been identified as 43-year-old businessman W. Vijith Premalal alias Sumedha, a resident of Hanwella, and 32-year-old M.G. Ravindum, is a resident of Padukka, the police said.

The assailants were yet to be identified. The Hanwella Police are investigating. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
