Two more Covid-19 deaths reported; toll rises to 124

Two more individuals passed away due to Covid-19 increasing the death toll to 124, the Department of Government Information said.

Accordingly, a 66-year-old female from Chilaw succumbed to the virus on admission to the Chilaw District Hospital while a 67-year-old male, a resident of Colombo 13 was reported dead at his residence.

The cause of death of the female was ruled as cardiac arrest owing to Covid-19 infection while the male died due to a stroke and Covid-19 pneumonia. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
