Trains to run despite fuel scarcity: Railways Dept.

Refuting media reports, the Railways Department today said that trains will continue to run without being cancelled or limited due to the prevailing fuel crisis.

While issuing a special communiqué, Railways Superintendent (Transportation) A. D. G. Seneviratne said the railway department continue to receive diesel without any shortage at present.

He further said that so far, not a single train has been halted or cancelled due to the absence of fuel. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
