Train derails while entering Chilaw Railway Station

Colombo, June 1 (Daily Mirror) - A train travelling from Colombo Fort Railway Station to Chilaw derailed while entering Chilaw Railway Station this afternoon, The Railways Department said.

They said the train had departed Colombo Fort at 9.30 a.m. and reportedly derailed at around 12.30 p.m.

Following the incident, train operations on the Puttalam railway line have been restricted from Colombo Fort to Madampe only.
