Tomorrows’ protest could dent the growth of tourism industry

Participation of Samgi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) in tomorrow's protest rally could cause a disruption to tourism, as the industry is crawling back gradually to its peak, Tourism Minister Harin Fernando said.

While addressing the media, he claimed that Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has decided to take part in the protest.

He said that if he does so, it would drive the country into anarchy.

"Sajith has no leadership qualities." If he had been able to show those qualities, he would have been the president of the country today. "Now they are struggling together with others," he said.

The tourism industry in the country is growing now and please do not pull it to the ground once again, Minister Fernando said. (Indika Sri Aravinda)
