Theatres to be re-opened from July 15

With the recommendation of the Health Ministry, theatres for stage plays and other concerts could be re-open from July 15, the Government Information Department said.

The permission was issued by the Health Services Director General Anil Jasinghe.

The permission was given to re-open Theatres with a seating capacity of 50 per cent of the theater's audience capacity and per one show.

“However, it is compulsory to follow the recommendations issued by the Health Ministry when staging a show,” he said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
