Tense situation at Education Ministry

Colombo, May 26 (Daily Mirror) - A tense atmosphere prevailed at the Education Ministry in Battaramulla today as a group of teachers staged a protest inside the ministry premises demanding that authorities address a series of unresolved grievances.

The demonstrators were seen seated on the floor within the ministry building voicing their demands in a non-violent manner. 

The protest prompted security personnel to block access to the main office, but the teachers continued their sit-in, refusing to leave until their concerns were acknowledged.
