Sugeeshwara Bandara arrested

Colombo, June 18 (Daily Mirror) - The leader of the New People’s Front, Sugeeshwara Bandara, has been arrested by the Central Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), police said.

He was taken into custody in connection with an ongoing investigation into allegations that he received salaries from two separate government institutions.

Authorities said the arrest follows inquiries into possible irregularities related to dual salary payments. Further investigations are currently underway.
