Special Commodity Levy on imported rice reduced to 25 cents

The Special Commodity Levy of Rs.65 per kg of imported rice has been reduced to 25 cents for the next six months.

Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa has made these tax deductions from November 2 in accordance with the powers vested in him under the Special Commodity Levy Act.
