Shooting incident in Kothalawala leaves one injured

Colombo, August 8 (Daily Mirror) - A shooting incident took place today in the Kothalawala area of Kaduwela.

Police officers attempting to arrest a suspect were confronted when the individual attacked them with a sword. 

In self-defense, the police opened fire, injuring the suspect. 

The wounded suspect was immediately admitted to Mulleriyawa Hospital for medical treatment. 

Further investigations are underway.
