Settle payments for area correspondents: Media Ministry tells media institutions

Colombo, March 3 (Daily Mirror) - Media institutions have been asked to settle payments  due to their area correspondents, Minister of Mass Media Nalinda Jayatissa told Parliament today. 

The Minister said area correspondents have not been paid by media institutions lately. 

This is the second time questions were raised on salaries paid for journalists. 

Earlier, Deputy Minister of Mass Media Kaushalya Ariyaratne said media institutions have been asked to pay salaries to their employees on time.
