Security boosted in Colombo for festive season

Colombo, April 1 (Daily Mirror) - Police said that security will be heightened in Colombo during the upcoming festive season. 

Around 6,000 police personnel will be deployed for this.

In addition to the police, personnel from the Sri Lanka Army and the Special Task Force (STF) will also assist in maintaining security. 

The army will focus on roadblock duties, while police personnel will be stationed in civilian clothing and armed for security tasks. 

Intelligence officers will also be on the ground to gather critical information.
