Sections of IR Bill inconsistent with Constitution, needs referendum: SC

The Supreme Court has ruled that the Inland Revenue (Amendment) Bill requires a referendum to be passed in parliament unless certain provisions are amended, as some sections of the Bill are not in accordance with the Constitution, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya informed Parliament today.
