School teacher dies in Badulla while receiving treatment

A school teacher who was working for well-known Tamil girls' school in Badulla died this morning while receiving treatment for COVID-19 at General Hospital in Badulla, Hospital Senior Medical Officer Dr. Palitha Rajapaksa said.

He said the lady teacher (49) was admitted to the emergency treatment unit of the hospital today.

She was a resident of Yampanawatta in Badulla. Following a Rapid Antigen Test, the teacher tested positive, the Senior Physician said. (Prasad Rukmal)
