School girl axed to death in Haliela

The Haliela Police launched investigations after  a school girl had been axed to death at Uduwara in Haliela this afternoon.

Police said the girl was returning home from the Haliela Tamil Maha Vidyalaya where she was studying. 

The police investigation has revealed that the murder had taken place due to a dispute.

The deceased was identified as an 18 year old resident of Uduwarawatta, Hali Ela.

The suspect involved in the incident has been identified and the Haliela Police are conducting further investigations to arrest him.
