Schengen visa appointments only through VFS Global

The German Embassy in Sri Lanka has announced that, effective from November 3, 2025, all appointments for Schengen visa applications must be made through a new online system operated by VFS Global.

According to the Embassy, applicants are now required to book their appointments via the VFS website at https://visa.vfsglobal.com/lka/en/deu/login

The Embassy also clarified that all existing registrations made under the previous appointment system will continue to be processed without any disruption.
