Sajith’s speech at May Day rally - People left as it was late: MP

Colombo, May 3 (Daily Mirror) - Referring to the report that people who were at the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) May Day rally walked out when Party Leader Sajith Premadasa began his speech, MP Harshana Rajakaruna said today that the people left the ground as it was late in the evening. 

"Premadasa decided to give  priority to others and opted to speak last," he added. 

Also, he confirmed that General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara, Chairman Kabir Hashim and the National Organiser were not given the time for speeches as the party focused on giving the opportunity to younger members of the party.
