Colombo, May 15 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lankan Rupee has weakened further against the US Dollar, with the selling rate crossing the Rs. 331 mark for the first time after December in 2023, according to the latest exchange rate report issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka on May 15.
The Central Bank reported the buying rate of the US Dollar at Rs. 323.53 and the selling rate at Rs. 331.15.
This is the first occasion since December 5, 2023, that the buying rate has exceeded Rs. 323 and the selling rate has moved beyond Rs. 331. On that date, the buying rate stood at Rs. 323.00, while the selling rate was recorded at Rs. 333.20.
