Rs.141 million worth of Kush seized

Colombo, May 19 (Daily Mirror) - A consignment of 14.562 kilos of Kush was seized and two Sri Lankan passengers arrested in their attempt to smuggle it into the country through the Green Channel at the Bandaranaike International airport last morning.

The market value of the consignment of Kush was estimated at Rs.140.56 million. The two passengers had arrived from Bangkok last morning. Interrogations revealed that the two suspects are 23 and 30 years and were residents of Dematagoda in Colombo.

The suspects were handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further action.
