Repairs on 2nd generator at Norochcholai to be completed in less than 10 days

The management of the Norochcholai thermal power complex is hopeful that the ongoing repairs to the boiler at the second generator of the complex could be completed in less than ten days.

Manager of the power complex Nalaka Wijekoon said the boiler had been stalled since June 18 and had been undergoing repairs. 
He said the repairs were nearing completion in 75 days well in advance of the estimated time frame of 100 days. 

He said between 10 and 15 percent of the country’s requirement of power had been met by stage II of the power complex since 2014.(Hiran Priyankara)
