Colombo, June 26 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) announced that registration for three job categories in Israel’s construction sector will officially begin tomorrow (27). The closing date for applications is July 1.
According to the Bureau, measures have been taken to recruit qualified Sri Lankan workers for employment in the reconstruction sub-sector under Israel’s construction industry.
The job categories open for registration are:
Male applicants between the ages of 25 and 45 with relevant experience in these trades are eligible to apply. Applicants must not have previously worked in Israel or have relatives residing there, and should hold a valid passport with at least three years’ validity for all countries.
The SLBFE further stated that candidates must be physically and mentally fit to work under Israel’s climatic conditions, be free of chronic or social diseases, have a clean police record and have completed at least 10 years of schooling with basic English knowledge.
Additionally, those who have failed the final skills test in these job categories previously are not eligible to apply.
Selected candidates will be offered a 63-month employment contract with a monthly salary of USD 1,520, along with overtime allowances.
A special online registration portal has been made available via the SLBFE’s official website www.slbfe.lk for applicants to submit their details between June 27 and July 1.
The Bureau has also issued a public reminder urging job seekers not to pay any money to any person for registration, interviews, skill tests or selection through the lottery method. All official processes will be handled directly by the SLBFE through its dedicated system.
