Ranil arrested over personal tour to UK using public funds: Bimal

Colombo, August 22 (Daily Mirror) - "Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe was arrested for going on a personal tour to the UK using public funds," Leader of the House Bimal Ratnayake told Parliament today.

"I have tabled all documents pertaining to Mr. Wickremesinghe's tour to the UK. What has happened to Opposition MPs today is that they welcome the prevailing of rule of law but are worried when it is applied to them and their associates," he added.
