Railway trade unions call off strike

Colombo, March 14 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Railways Station Masters' Union (SLRSMU) has decided to call off the sudden trade union action following discussions with the Transport Ministry Secretary.

The union said favorable solutions were given by the Ministry secretary to the existing problems.

Accordingly, the SLRSMU had decided to call off the sudden trade union action scheduled for 4 p.m. in protest of the seat reservation system without providing any information to the station masters.
