Protest in Kosgama-Salawa

The High-Level road at Kosgama-Salawa was closed due to a protest by the villagers, Police said.

Residents blocked the Colombo-Avissawella road demanding an assurance of their safety as they were living close to unexploded ordnance.

Motorists were advised to use alternative routes during that time.
