Prima flour price increased by Rs.12

The Prima Ceylon (Pvt) Limited has decided to increase the price of wheat flour by Rs. 12 with immediate effect.

A senior official of the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) told the Daily Mirror that they were not informed of this decision.

He said legal action will be taken against the company for increasing the wheat flour price.

Meanwhile, he said no authority had been given for wheat flour companies to increase their product prices on their own. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
