Price of milk tea to increase by Rs.10 from April

Colombo, March 20 (Daily Mirror) - The price of a cup of milk tea will rise by Rs.10 from April 1 due to the increase in the price of a 400g imported milk powder packet, the All Island Canteen and Restaurant Owners' Association (AICROA) said.

AICROA Chairman Harshana Rukshan said that the decision follows a 4.7% increase in imported milk powder prices.

As a result, the retail price of a packet of 400g milk powder is expected to rise by approximately Rs.50 by April 1.
