President appoints Independent Remuneration Committee to review Central Bank pay hike

Colombo, April 1 (Daily Mirror) - President Ranil Wickremesinghe, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies has appointed an Independent Remuneration Committee to review the salary increase of the Central Bank.

The Committee has been appointed based on the recommendation in the report of the Committee on Public Finance (CoPF) on the salary revision of the Central Bank.

The CoPF, in its report recommended that an independent committee be appointed by the Finance Ministry to review the Central Bank salary revisions.
