Police seek public assistance to locate Deshabandu Tennakoon

Colombo, March 6 (Daily Mirror) - Police today requested the public to inform of any whereabouts of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon who is evading arrest.

Police Media Spokesman SSP Buddhika Manathunga told a news conference that the public can inform the CID if they know of any clue about the whereabouts of Tennakoon.

He said several police teams have been deployed to arrest the former IGP who is in hiding, defying a court order.

SSP Manathunga said anyone found guilty of harbouring Tennakoon will be dealt with under Section 209 of the Penal Code.
