Police probe unprofessional behaviour of officers in viral video

Colombo, Jan 23 (Daily Mirror) - Police have launched an investigation into a viral social media video showing a group of officers in uniform, allegedly under the influence of liquor, sleeping in an unruly manner at a location.

Police spokesman SSP Buddhika Manathunga said that the Acting IGP had been made aware of the incident. 

The Acting IGP expressed his displeasure to senior officers in the respective divisions over the officers' conduct.

The spokesman also said that the Police Special Investigation Unit has initiated an inquiry, and strict disciplinary action will be taken against those responsible for such misconduct.
