Personal motor vehicle imports from February next year

Import of motor vehicles for personal use will be allowed from February 1, 2025, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said.

The President informed Parliament that vehicle imports would be allowed in three stages, as previously planned.

He said that the import of passenger buses and special-purpose motor vehicles commenced on December 14, 2024."
