Over 900 protest outside Presidential Secretariat

Over 900 people from the education sector have gathered outside the Presidential Secretariat to protest, over several demands even as medical experts warn of a rapid spread in the COVID-19.

The protest has resulted in a severe traffic congestion in the Galle Face area.

Reporters on ground said the protest march was being orchestrated by teachers and principals.

Police have tightened security in the area.
