Only orangutan at Dehiwala Zoo dies

Colombo, January 7 (Daily Mirror) - The only orangutan at the Dehiwala Zoo has died, the Department of National Zoological Gardens said.

This 15-year-old orangutan was born in 2009 to a pair of orangutans donated to the Dehiwala Zoo by Indonesia.

Reports suggest that the animal may have passed away a few days ago, possibly due to an illness.
