One killed, seven injured in accident at Galigamuwa

A 19-year-old man was killed and seven others injured when a van travelling from Kandy to Colombo veered off the road and plunged into a canal opposite the Galigamuwa Primary College on the Kandy-Colombo Road last night, Police said.

The injured were admitted to the Kegalle Hospital and one of them was pronounced dead on admission to the Hospital.

The deceased is a resident of Akurana.
