Uncapped pacer Newman Nyamhuri has been drafted into Zimbabwe’s 15-member squad for the Pakistan T20I Tri-Series, replacing the injured Blessing Muzarabani. Hosts Pakistan and Sri Lanka will join Zimbabwe in the high-stakes tri-nation clash.

The Zimbabwe Cricket Board confirmed that Muzarabani has been ruled out due to a back injury, forcing a single change from the squad that recently faced Afghanistan in Harare. The tri-series will serve as an important tune-up for all three sides ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

All-rounder Sikandar Raza will continue to lead the team, which includes a blend of youth and experience. Senior players Ryan Burl, Wellington Masakadza, and veteran Brendan Taylor are all part of the squad, with Taylor marking a notable return to international cricket.

Zimbabwe are set to open their campaign against hosts Pakistan on 17 November in Rawalpindi, followed by their second fixture against Sri Lanka on 19 November at the same venue. The series will then shift to Lahore, where the remaining matches and the final will be played.

Zimbabwe have already booked their place at the T20 World Cup 2026, after completing an unbeaten run to clinch the Africa Qualifier title earlier this year.
