Colombo, Feb 04 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lanka’s Ishadi Amanda, the first runner-up at the 40th Mrs. World pageant in Las Vegas, arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) this morning.
The competition, held on January 30, featured contestants from 40 countries, making Amanda’s achievement a proud moment for Sri Lanka.
She landed at 1:55 AM on February 4 from Doha and attended a welcome ceremony by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau at 9:00 AM.
Though her family in France could not attend, Chandimal Jayasinghe and Rukmal Senanayake welcomed her.
Amanda’s success has brought global recognition to Sri Lanka in beauty pageants.
