Monk killed by wild elephant

A 54-year-old Buddhist monk, who was residing in a jungle monastery, died due to a wild elephant attack in Madugasthalawa, Police area in Balangoda this morning.

Police said the body of the monk was lying at the Balangoda Hospital mortuary.
