Monday declared a special government holiday

Monday, the13th June has been declared as a special government holiday, the Ministry of Public Administration said.

The ministry said  the decision was taken considering the issues existing at present in the transport sector and the difficulties in the maintenance of office functions during power interruptions.

However, the holiday should not be an obstacle for the maintenance of essential services of the government, the ministry said.
