Man injured in Katugastota shooting

Colombo, May 4 (Daily Mirror) - A 28-year-old man was hospitalized with gunshot wounds following an incident in the Gohagoda area of Katugastota early Monday morning. The victim, identified as a supervisor in the cleaning department at the Kandy National Hospital, is currently receiving treatment at the same institution.

Police said that the shooting occurred at approximately 2:45 AM. The victim sustained injuries to one of his ears and a shoulder. 

Preliminary investigations revealed that the shooting may have been triggered by a personal dispute. However, the identity of the shooter and the exact motive remain under investigation.
