Land mine exploded in Mannar: Two children hospitalised

Two 12-year-old children were hospitalised after a land mine exploded in the Mankendi area in Mannar today, police said.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the two children were trying to remove the mine which was buried in a jungle in Mankandi area. (Romesh Madushanka)
