LPL 2026 gets new July–August dates

Dec.01, (Daily Mirror - Mirror Sports) - Sri Lanka Cricket has confirmed that the sixth edition of the Lanka Premier League will be played from 8 July to 8 August 2026. The revised dates follow the postponement of the tournament, which was initially scheduled for December 2025.

The shift was made to ensure host venues are adequately prepared for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by Sri Lanka and India in February–March next year. With the new schedule, the five-team competition returns to its familiar mid-year window.
