Colombo, May 31 (Daily Mirror) - Lanka IOC (LIOC) and Sinopec have revised their fuel prices with effect from midnight on May 30, bringing their rates in line with the latest fuel price increase announced by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).
The price adjustments come after CPC implemented an upward revision across all major fuel categories under its monthly fuel pricing mechanism.
Under the new rates, the price of Octane 92 Petrol has increased by Rs. 24 per liter, rising from Rs. 410 to Rs. 434. Octane 95 Petrol has been raised by Rs. 25 per liter, bringing the retail price to Rs. 495 from Rs. 470.
Auto Diesel has also seen a price increase of Rs. 15 per liter, moving up from Rs. 392 to Rs. 407. Meanwhile, the price of Super Diesel has been revised upward by Rs. 20 per liter, increasing from Rs. 458 to Rs. 478.
Kerosene users will also face higher prices, with the fuel increasing by Rs. 20 per liter from Rs. 265 to Rs. 285.
However, Sinopec has opted not to revise its Super Diesel price and will continue to sell the product at Rs. 600 per liter, despite matching CPC's adjustments for other fuel categories.
