LG polls candidate arrested for raping underage girl

Colombo, May 4 (Daily Mirror) - A candidate who is contesting the Local Government elections was arrested for raping an underage girl in Passara.

The 34-year-old suspect is a resident of Passara and contesting for the Passara Pradeshiyta Sabha.

He was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a 14 years and six months old girl.
