Kelanithissa Power Station stopped due to lack of fuel: CEB

The Kelanithissa Power Station, comprising Kelanithissa Combined Cycle Power (KCCP), Kelanitissa Power Station-1 (KPS-1) and GT-7, the largest single power generation unit, has been stopped due to a lack of fuel stocks, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said.

They said KCCP and GT-7 stations were stopped since February 17 due to a lack of fuel stocks.

The total energy generated yesterday was 45.25 GWh. Hydro power generation: 23.13 per cent, thermal power generation: 74.11 per cent, solar (bulk) power generation: 0.67 per cent, wind power generation: 2.09 per cent.
